Throughout college, Emily worked both freelance and at The Ashtabula Arts Center as an acting/audition coach for high schoolers and continues to teach highschool and college students today. She guides the student to learn to trust their own instinct, make new interpretations, and strives to make the atmosphere one of mutual respect and excitement for the work. Her work centers around text, both in song and monologue form, and Emily loves to bring her passion for plays to young actors. Choosing pieces to work on will always be a work in progress because we are always changing. Emily strives to cultivate the upcoming generation of actors as self-sufficient, respectful, and thoughtful artists.
Students of Emily's have received admittance into college prep programs such as Baldwin Wallace's CSI and Overture's programs and Cleveland Playhouse's Broadway Summer Camp for Teens. They have also received admittance into their top choice colleges, including; The Boston Conservatory, Ithaca, Baldwin Wallace University, Molloy College/CAP 21, Shenandoah University, Ohio Northern, Ohio University, and many more.
She also is great with younger kids: teaching preschool drama and music classes, teaching at The Boston Conservatory's MT Summer Program, working for children's productions, working in community outreach programs for children, as well as after-school programs.
